THREE WAYS
to hire us.
NONE AWKWARD.

§ 02 — Services

Pick by shape, not by intuition. Small studio billing in euros; there's no enterprise tier hiding behind 'contact sales.' Real prices below.

A thing is broken. We fix the thing.

Pay per task. Drop the brief in our portal, get a quote within a day, ship within a week. No retainer, no minimums, no opening a Slack instance for a 3-hour job.

  • Tasks under 4 hours, billed flat
  • Same-day quote, usually
  • Stripe Checkout, one click, done
  • We don't ghost when it's small

§ 03 — The fine print, large

No tiered SaaS, no 'contact us.' If your scope doesn't fit one of these columns, tell us — we'll tell you which one to use, or send you somewhere better.

An index, not a case-study deck. The other 69 are mostly dashboards, admin panels, and migrations nobody wants to read about. Ask if you do; we'll send them.

FIVE PEOPLE,
A DOG, three time zones.

§ 05 — Studio

We don't grow on purpose. Five is the most people who can fit at one dinner without anyone feeling unseen. We'd rather turn away work than turn into 25.

We started in 2021 in Porto, in Maria's kitchen, because the agency Maria and Diogo were leaving had just announced a "new brand operating system" and we wanted to be elsewhere when the deck went around.

Five years later we're three full-time, two part-time, plus a long-haired dachshund named Luna who is technically the third co-founder per the company bylaws. We bill in euros, we file taxes in Portugal, we ship from wherever we are.

We do not have a manifesto, a values page, or a brand book. We have a scope document, an invoice template, and the strong opinion that those are usually enough.

§ 06 — Approach

Four steps, written down, sent to your inbox before we touch anything. The shorter this section, the better we're doing.

01

Brief

You tell us what you want. In writing. We don't read minds for €150/hr.

Day 1
02

Scope

We write down what we'll do, what we won't, what it costs, and when it'll be done. You sign it.

Days 2–3
03

Build

We build. We send screenshots and short Looms. You complain. We adjust. Repeat until it's right.

Weeks 1–N
04

Ship

It goes live. We don't disappear the next morning. (Unless that was the deal.)

Launch day

FIELD NOTES,
occasional, opinionated.

§ 07 — Writing

Not a blog. We post when we have something to say. The archive is mostly arguments we lost in Slack and decided to put in writing.

Why we charge by the hour

Value-based pricing sounds great on a podcast and falls apart on Friday at 5pm. Here's the math we actually do.

Things we will not do

A working list of work we turn down. Updated whenever someone asks us to do one of them.

The brief we wish you'd send

Two paragraphs, a deadline, a budget range. That's it. Here's a template you can copy and paste; we'll stop pretending it doesn't help.

§ 09 — A subscriber writes

Maia Pereira

Founder, Halfmoon
"Finally, an agency that returns my emails before I forget I sent them. The bar was low. They cleared it anyway."

QUESTIONS,
mostly hostile.

§ 10 — FAQ

Things prospective clients have actually asked us. Answered the way we'd answer in person, which is to say — slightly rude.

No. We've tried. It ends in tears or in cap-table-cleanup invoices nobody wants to pay. Cash is fine.
Yes, ours. We don't sign 14-page mutual NDAs to talk about a landing page.
Probably not tomorrow. Probably next week. We try to keep ~20% capacity open for fires.
No. We write code, scope docs, and very pointed emails.
We will not.
Not really. We have a designer who'll do one if we like you. Don't ask twice.

SEND US
a thing.

Send us a thing. If it's interesting we write back inside two days. If it isn't, we still write back, just slower. Either way: an actual human, no chatbot.
