§ 05 — Studio

We don't grow on purpose. Five is the most people who can fit at one dinner without anyone feeling unseen. We'd rather turn away work than turn into 25.

We started in 2021 in Porto, in Maria's kitchen, because the agency Maria and Diogo were leaving had just announced a "new brand operating system" and we wanted to be elsewhere when the deck went around.

Five years later we're three full-time, two part-time, plus a long-haired dachshund named Luna who is technically the third co-founder per the company bylaws. We bill in euros, we file taxes in Portugal, we ship from wherever we are.

We do not have a manifesto, a values page, or a brand book. We have a scope document, an invoice template, and the strong opinion that those are usually enough.

§ 06 — Approach

Four steps, written down, sent to your inbox before we touch anything. The shorter this section, the better we're doing.

Brief

You tell us what you want. In writing. We don't read minds for €150/hr.

Day 1

Scope

We write down what we'll do, what we won't, what it costs, and when it'll be done. You sign it.

Days 2–3

Build

We build. We send screenshots and short Looms. You complain. We adjust. Repeat until it's right.

Weeks 1–N

Ship

It goes live. We don't disappear the next morning. (Unless that was the deal.)

Things prospective clients have actually asked us. Answered the way we'd answer in person, which is to say — slightly rude.

01 Do you take equity?

No. We've tried. It ends in tears or in cap-table-cleanup invoices nobody wants to pay. Cash is fine.

02 Will you sign an NDA?

Yes, ours. We don't sign 14-page mutual NDAs to talk about a landing page.

03 Can you start tomorrow?

Probably not tomorrow. Probably next week. We try to keep ~20% capacity open for fires.

04 Do you write decks?

No. We write code, scope docs, and very pointed emails.

05 Will you join our weekly all-hands?

We will not.

06 Do you do logos?

Not really. We have a designer who'll do one if we like you. Don't ask twice.
